A Short Course is a named programme of study made up of one or more modules that is being specifically marketed as a named Short Course. For example:
- One, or a collection of, new 15 credit modules, given a specific title and having programme learning outcomes
- A collection of existing 15 credit modules put together to form a named Short Course and having programme learning outcomes
A Microcredential is a named unit of study, at either 5 or 10 credit value.
- Microcredentials can be stacked and recognised as prior learning towards larger awards such as Short Courses or a PGCert
- A Masterclass is a zero credit bearing unit, short in duration
